Terms of Use
Last updated: October 25, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Oinker mobile application and the website at https://getoinker.com (together, the “Service”), operated by Oleksandr Khomin (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Oinker, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Oinker is
Oinker is an entertainment and awareness product. It links (with your permission) to bank accounts through Plaid, reviews transactions, and generates short humorous verdicts. Oinker is not a bank, financial advisor, tax advisor, or credit counsellor. Nothing in the Service is financial advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract in your country and able to link a supported bank account where required. The Service is currently offered for iOS; Android support may be added later.
3. Accounts and bank linking
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.
- Bank credentials are entered in Plaid's interface. We never receive your bank password and cannot initiate payments or transfers.
- You may disconnect banks or delete your account in Settings at any time.
- Demo mode uses sample data and is not connected to your finances.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid features, if offered, are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store.
- Prices, trial lengths and renewal periods are shown in the app and on the App Store product page before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Apple's policies unless required otherwise by law.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, reverse engineer it except where allowed by law, or disrupt our systems
- Attempt to access another user's data
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
- Rely on roast lines as budgeting instructions, investment guidance, or a substitute for professional advice
6. Content and intellectual property
We own the Oinker name, mascot, design system, and software. Generated roast lines are provided for your personal, non-commercial use and sharing as enabled in the app. You retain rights to your own financial data; you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to operate the Service.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy. We do not sell the data we collect about users of the Service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — including bank and transaction data — to data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties for their own commercial use. Data shared with service providers is used only to operate Oinker, as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that verdicts are accurate, complete, or appropriate for any financial decision. Transaction data depends on Plaid and your bank and may be delayed or incomplete.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance, except where local law requires a different process for material changes.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those protections.
